no title today , just wanted to make sure my friends and followers still know I am here!  To make a long, long, long story short I will keep the topic a little less personal .  Many things have happened since my last posting! EBEG 2nd Bead Fest has come and gone, all the entries  were great .  Alot of work went into these gorgeous pieces ,  soon I will have a link to them . But for now you can look at all of them through http://www.etsy.com  just remember to type in EBEG in the search bar provided.  I am struggling a bit to keep my mind off of personal matters , and just do my bead embroidery, take care of my needs, and obligations.

Cotton Candy Carnival and The Fighting Turquoise

'Cotton Candy Carnival' by Annette de Goeij

What a great piece of art jewelry :)  This beautiful cuff was made by Annette Goeij, a talented artist whom I am lucky enough to call a fellow member of the Etsy Bead Embroidery Guild :)  I adore how the pinks and whites just blend perfectly, creating an elegant , bold, and unique touch.     Why just this morning on facebook I saw another gorgeous piece she has embroidered.  All of her bead work is unique go check out her store on Etsy. Who knows you might just find the perfect piece for you or a loved one.

Well not being able to bead has some advantages. I have more time dedicated to help out the EBEG and more time to dream of future pieces. The new blog is up and running , its looking great,  I am really excited about the upcoming raffle for boro-boro beads... Hmmmm  doesn't that sound interesting !! You can't miss this great beads , great blog,  and great fun.!!

Last but not least I recently was featured on Beader's Showcase.  What a great way to give your day a boost, well mine I mean, lol. This is a nice site to take a look at, I didn't exactly find this on my own, I must thank Sharayah Sheldon, the captain of the EBEG team .

Doing Nothing is Hard!

Well today was a pretty easy going day . No beading, cooking, cleaning, laundry, or anything else that involved moving to much . Thankfully the computer doesn't fall in to those categories, I am not to sure I will make a full two weeks of being so lazy or without beading.  In my mind I am beading my best piece of art jewelry to date.  Oh to have such thoughts running through my head, dreaming about it, and what not.   I have decided to dedicate my time to surfing the web and helping out the Etsy Bead Embroidery Guild more .   I have fallen into a leader position which will monitor the EBEG Yahoo Group Site, and more if needed.  I will miss any members no longer with us and wish them well.  Such talented artists.

My Valentine's Day came a day early , nothing wrong with that!, I suppose my fiance thought I deserved it. SSSSHHHHH....  Don't tell him though...  Candy, stuffed animal, card, balloon, I think he did rather well :)

I hope to have more to share in tomorrow's post. Like a  treasury from a great bead embroidery artist.  As time passes by (slowly) I am wondering how long I am going to last without my beads!

It's been awhile since I have done any posting ,  last post I talked about some health issues I was dealing with. Well little did I know I was more ill than I thought. It took three hospitals to get me back on track and on my way to doing my beloved bead embroidery.  Above is a card my nieces and nephew made me while I was in the hospital. Of course I seen it and cried, I am very sentimental that way :)

Below is a picture of my friends cuff that should be done !!!  In a week I am hoping to be back to beading . At the moment I am just surfing the web, trying to get better without over doing it. The hospitals are really not wanting to see me back so soon!,  This is not a good picture by any means , I just wanted to say I am alive and happy to be able to say so.  More to come : just not now :) still tired and weak from having way to many seizures.  my doctor informed me I had over ninety in a 24 hour period ,  phew, I am glad that is over, seizure free now for four days!! Time things are looking up for me. Happy Beading!!!

My beading has come to a much needed stop., as much as I hate to admit it I sometimes am not able to do my beloved bead embroidery due to health issues.  So I will work on getting better before I go jumping into something thats just not physically possible.  Lets hope it doesn't take more than a few weeks, because I already have plans for the EBEG Bead Fest for March, lets hope my plans are back on track by then.
I recently am trying a new med and so far not so good, had my first er trip last night from starting them and can see that another might be necessary, my tongue is swelling up and making it hard to swallow, oh well life will go on and I will survive.

I am still working on my friends cuff , I am liking it more and more.  I have added some bronze/gold triangle seed beads along with more fire polished glass beads. still wondering if I am making it a form fitted cuff or one that will have a clasp of some sort attached to it.  As I said I am at a stand still with beading:(

Friends Cuff

Time for a new bead embroidered project.   I have decided to do a cuff for my friends birthday before I  get to busy with challenge entries.   The truth be known,  I should have started and finished along time ago..... probably last spring ;)   She chose a gorgeous rich dark red size 8 and  a metallic bronze mix size 12 seed beads,  the two work great together.
I have used a nice thick black suede for the front of the cuff ,   I am not to sure about the backing yet , I am wondering if I want to use the same black suede ,  or  maybe a rich red color?   Thoughts?

Etsy Bead Embroidery Guild 1st  Bead Fest

Oh what can I say better than the collage of bead embroidery above! Please take a look at the magnificent art jewelry the EBEG has created:)     The talent speaks for itself!   Thanks  to all of you out there following the progress of these talented bead embroidery artists. I have noticed that this challenge, or rather bead fest is a bit confusing to some ,  I want to say this is not a contest:)  Just a challenge  , basically to challenge our own talents as an artist.      Here's a great treasury of all of the EBEG's WinterWonderland Bead Fest
